The flag of Colorado is a triumph of simplicity and symbolism, vividly capturing the state’s natural beauty and frontier confidence. Designed by Andrew Carlisle Johnson and adopted in 1911, it features three horizontal stripes—blue, white, and blue—representing the clear skies, snow-capped mountains, and the abundance of sunshine.
