The Brotherhood of Steel flag bears the organization's iconic emblem—a set of interlocking gears surrounding a sword and wings—representing the quasi-military order dedicated to collecting and preserving pre-war technology in the Fallout universe. Founded by Captain Roger Maxson after the Great War of 2077, the Brotherhood emerged from the remnants of the U.S. military, sworn to prevent dangerous technology from falling into the wrong hands.
